The DeFiStar.io Yield Matrix is a quantitative tool designed to identify mispriced liquidity in the Decentralised Finance ecosystem. Unlike standard leaderboards that simply list the highest APY, this matrix contextualises yield against risk.

• 💎 The Alpha Zone (Top Right): This is the target. These pools exhibit a Safety Score above 80/100 while offering yields significantly above the market average (>4%). This often occurs when a "Blue Chip" protocol launches on a new chain (e.g., Aave V3 on Scroll) and incentivises liquidity before the masses arrive.
• 🛡️ Safe Havens (Bottom Right): The "Savings Account" of DeFi. High safety scores (>85) but lower yields (<3.5%). This is where institutional capital typically resides (e.g., Aave Mainnet USDT).
• ⚠️ Yield Traps (Top Left): High yield but low safety (<55). These are often smaller, unproven protocols or highly volatile assets. The yield is a premium paid for taking on smart contract or de-pegging risk. Proceed with extreme caution.
